... and the architect does not seem to consistently use his. I dare to claim that the ground floor was planned first here.

That cannot be ruled out. What don't you like about the floor plans?

No, highly likely. Exactly the effects of this approach. Among the residents, I mainly see "Child 1" suffer from it. I go even further and predict that the architect may be loved for his design, but is not a candidate for praise from .

I basically like a washbasin at the entrance, but in yours it looks like the person standing there gets the door hit in the back by everyone else coming in. You would have to check with the measurements. And in the bedroom, the question is whether a proper wardrobe with a depth of 60 cm fits behind the door, otherwise storage space will be tight.

The kitchen would be too small for me and the children's room I too narrow. Here, adding a 3rd gable / dormer could improve the design and ease the layout. The door at the roof peak, in my opinion, will not work as is. It opens into the 1.5m line. Either rotate it and see if that's enough or use a sliding door. I would not move the entrance to children's room I forward and would rather place a large window in the hallway instead.

Your follow-up questions make me a little concerned; you seem to have no assessment of the quality of the architect's planning – is this your first time reading plans? This could result in being able to "tighten" the architect as if on a broken leash. Develop the necessary judgment for this, and let the architect know that you still need time for your feedback.
