Hi driver55,

thanks for your feedback. I have also thought about a U-shape, but how would you position it? The front row would be without a cooking area, just as a workspace, so it can probably be narrower.
The most space-saving would probably be an L-shape, but I wouldn’t gain much space with that either, since the pillar is awkwardly in the way, right?

You had not transferred, for example, a floor slot and floor breakthrough (both plumbing), and now you can also see different types of walls. The plasterboard wall next to the tall cabinets could be longer or shorter without consequences for other floors. These are the kinds of things that get lost when tracing, and your magic software does not tell you that. Laypersons regularly cannot assess which details are more or less relevant to the discussants. Just as an example of a lost thought process this way: You could make one less tall cabinet and swivel the wall, let it butt against the pillar, and have a wardrobe niche.

I was aware that the gypsum board wall is variable. In the original plans, the walls were arranged differently and the kitchen was closed.

Regarding the cloakroom, I honestly do not worry. I would prefer not to put a wall there because I think the room would then appear smaller. What do you think?

I have to admit, I didn't see the pillar. :( The pillar is somehow always in the way. You can't place the U in front of it, that would be too narrow, maybe put it in between and flush with the kitchen...

I would continue the kitchen countertop under the window, then have a 30cm or 40cm depth on the wall panel and then a work island with 60cm depth and a half-height wall up to the beam. Furnish it as the floor plan suggests, if necessary place the sofa against the back wall of the kitchen. Then the table as an extendable table. The screen then on the wall. Personally, I would not place it crosswise in the room and would find that disruptive in use.

Giving up the counter seats at the island creates space for further considerations such as a splash guard and behind it a dresser with a top flap from which a large monitor slides out for viewing. The screen position is impractical in daylight, the projector position is unclear, it should be a very quiet device if it is positioned practically above the viewers' heads. I believe that you want too much for this manageable room with many entrances.
