I would never do without a higher floor height, 2.50 m is simply too little, doesn’t look that nice.

I think the mentioned 250 was meant more as clear room height than as floor height. At my uncle’s in BW it is 238 (sometimes even only 232), which does not feel cramped – although my uncle also physically towers over me.

Correct, clear room height was meant. Our architect said that due to the rather closed rooms and the floor-to-ceiling windows this does not feel oppressive. Do you still find 2.50 clear room height too low?

Never. I have been living like this now, and in previous apartments as well (so for half a century), and have never felt a difference in apartments with a ceiling height of 262. If anything, it’s the other way around for me: in "half rooms" in Berlin old buildings with a ceiling height of 320, I would be grateful for suspended ceilings.

Without tone, I can't say 100% whether this is sarcasm. We were in a prefab house world and the first house had a ceiling height of 2.75m. Then we went into a house with a ceiling height of 2.50m and I asked my wife "something's not right here? I feel uncomfortable here" until we realized why... there was a fixed raw ceiling height of 3m. Best regards

We previously had a room height of 2.48m and now 2.70m; that is a huge difference and the higher room height looks much better. I would rather do without other extras but never on the room height. You notice every small difference in room height when you measure it yourself at a [Fertighausausstellung]. Just go there and take a look at the different room heights yourself.

First of all, I would position the house like this at first glance so that I have a nice big garden. Entrance then rather from the side. Does this now lead too far, to rethink the entire ground floor?
