Thank you for the compliment! I myself wondered why I couldn't embed the floor plans, it must have had something to do with the format, it worked for the views. We probably still have to gain experience with this forum... - Open space: explicitly requested for lighting and the feeling of space. In addition, it allows a knee wall / dwarf wall with a height of 1.60 m in single-story construction, which we also very much appreciate. - Shower in the master bathroom: The shower exists, unfortunately it was covered by the room stamp, I had overlooked that. Many thanks for the pointers.

- Botched corners: Yes, they exist. Our previous version was exactly the orthogonal orientation, as you sketched. Unfortunately, the bathroom didn’t fit that way (the shower was unfortunately missing in the floor plan representation) and both children's rooms were too small. In the longitudinal direction, due to the fixed structural beam, nothing could be improved. - Windows Office / Piano room: We would like a solid separation from the ground floor. Nevertheless, we want a certain transparency and of course not to waste the lighting from the large southwest facade for the entrance corridor. The two separate windows are justified by the option to possibly later partition this room with a drywall in extension of the children's bathroom. Another room is always great, but here we weighed the space requirements against the interior qualities in the living and dining area as well as the knee wall height now at 1.60 m. Thanks for the super well-founded feedback.

Why should it not be allowed to stand there?
According to the development plan, we have a building limit of 3 m towards the street in the north, which we comply with. The garage structure measures less than 3 m, which means the front setback areas should also be observed. We only invoke the privilege of boundary construction on one side towards our neighbor.
Of course, 5 m is ideal for parking cars freely, but in return, unfortunately, not much would be left of our already rather limited garden. Or do you know of another building regulation that mandates the 5 m?
Thank you for your comment!

- Dimensions: I omitted the dimensions because the floor plans are fully furnished. Therefore, there should hopefully be enough references.
- Window to the airspace: Finally, parents and children can see each other mutually. No, the transparency is intentional, and the size of the windows is justified by a possible future separation of the study from the corridor.
Thanks for the hint.

It is usually already stated in the development plan. Additionally, there is often a parking space ordinance from the city or municipality. Whether your state building code makes specific regulations there, I cannot say.
