Somehow we are talking past each other. Of course they are not allowed to walk through the whole house with dirty shoes. But just look at the entrance situation. Somehow you have to get into the house. The staircase is DIRECTLY at the entrance. And even if you take off your shoes immediately after coming in, they are STANDING IN FRONT OF the stairs.

I suspect that an Arcus WD 500, which is no longer actually in the program, was used as a basis here.

I’m afraid the deadline for the baby hatch has already passed with teenagers – apart from that, it would probably have to be placed next to it due to size anyway. But maybe someone will program an app that grants extra WLAN free hours or bonus interest on the driver’s license savings account for using a shoe-cleaning machine. By the way, did I already mention that as Federal Chancellor I intend to change the word "Erziehungsberechtigte" to "Erziehungsverpflichtete" in all laws?

A company that wants to be perceived as an economy provider will hardly get a company name with a noble predicate, don’t you think?

It seems to me that a "fundamental problem" lies in the fact that as a side effect of the relatively clear structure (at least of the original model) the sense of dimensions of the builders is confused. The abundance of space will not have the hoped-for positive impact on the living quality.

... which unfortunately did not succeed in becoming an improvement.

The internet forgets nothing, Nordostkind and Nordwestkind can look it up later ;-)

So the technician for heating, electricity, washing machine and so on would have to pass not only through the kitchen but also through such a 60 cm door, which I already consider unsuitable for families (you can’t even get a loaded oven tray through it). Laundry also has to go out (not just in), and depending on the room, there may also be ladders, beverage crates, etc. This door in the kitchen would be a constant annoyance. The new Schleswig-Holstein resident, former Bavarian, is right: that one square meter behind the front door/before the start of the stairs will be the dirtiest and sandiest spot in the house. That’s just how it is. That’s why, starting from a certain house size, stairs are ideally planned elsewhere so that the children, but also you, in daily and evening life don’t have to constantly walk through there on socks or barefoot when you change floors in the middle of life. Otherwise, you constantly have dirty feet.

Many thanks to everyone for the many responses in such a short time. We are using the days off to visit model home parks and search catalogs/websites of providers looking for a better fitting floor plan - without slavishly sticking to our first draft.
Happy holidays and see you soon :)
