As if children walk around with a tape measure?!
But to be honest, I find the children's rooms a bit narrow. Especially the 2.60 meters are not exactly ideal.
That’s why I made my suggestion, which Katja completed.

Edit: I would rather move the wall in the office by at least 20/30cm, from which child 2 would benefit.

I recall that they absolutely wanted the kitchen directly at the terrace at the bottom of the plan. And now the living room would be so open. So a stub wall is being put up. You do get a bit of eye strain from it, haha. Maybe you'd better not make it load-bearing. Then you can tear it down again if you realize it's crap when you move in.

OT: My sister and I – we also had two rooms that were not the same size. We knew that exactly. Not that it caused any problems, but the difference was not as big as here either.

The fact that the rooms are so narrow bothers me a bit too. Also one reason why we fiddled with it here. But I’m afraid the OP is already done with the planning.

If it is only meant to be a kind of daylight spot, no. Every flat roof opening saved is good.

Or a transom window between the door frame and the ceiling.
