Unfortunately, I don’t quite follow. If the cabinet moves forward, what happens to the space behind it? Will that then become the living room storage room? I think the 50cm passage width is completely inappropriate. Should one balance along those 50cm while also opening cabinet doors or shelves? Every day? I would consider giving up the entrance from the front. Instead, move the carport upwards on the plan. Here’s a sketch with the first standard floor plan I found:

Thank you for the feedback

We did not plan any storage space for the living room. It is only big enough to fit a cupboard there. It roughly has the dimensions of our old living room, which is why the furniture was not inserted 1 to 1 there.
The same goes for the kitchen and the bathroom. The room sizes are defined there but not the appearance.

We really liked the floor plan and the big problem unfortunately only became apparent last week.

Some great planners here immediately noticed that the passage between the bed and the cupboard in the bedroom is too narrow. We absolutely did not have that on our radar.
We don’t need a big bedroom because we only sleep there, but it still has to be walkable.

We now have to let it sink in that we might have to completely plan it all over again.

And, you should think about the furnishing of the living/dining area. A cozy TV corner or do I not see one.

Jokester. Leaving out the reference (so that here over 60 posts of thread history remain invisible to anyone who doesn’t have the time to scroll suspiciously through your history) is already a pretty serious netiquette faux pas :-(

Sorry. It was not intentional.

Since this draft somehow finds more appeal, we would also like to give it a chance. However, we are not quite sure how to realize the following requirements..

Private and living areas somewhat separated..
The children's room will later become an office/guest room, so it should not be "wasted" as the best room later. Somehow a balancing act that is not easy to manage..

But maybe there's something?
