I hope, no white ceramic countertop? They are much more sensitive than advertised. Strongly staining foods and drinks should then be banned from the kitchen.

It's not necessary: set the tall cabinets higher, fill the gap on the right side with an SbS refrigerator, a nice separate island instead of the worm-like extension, and then a terrace access on the outer wall.

As it is now, the access in a family use is already quite tight. The main access to the kitchen is more like a slalom through two narrow spots with a maximum of 80 cm. The man should not like that either. :)

No, it will be a quite dark countertop, but not completely black.

Unfortunately, a terrace access in that spot is not possible, the garden is split due to a slight slope. Two basement rooms thereby get daylight.
I will try to discuss this with my husband and ask our house builder. Hopefully, they are used to changes coming up from time to time :D

Concerns about showing plans are in all honesty understandable, but when such "details" emerge droplet by droplet, it dampens the enthusiasm of the fellow discussants.

Before I keep going to the house builder with unlaid eggs, I would try to draw it myself and see how it works. That way you also get a feel for the dimensions and spaces. Just the fact that the terrace can only be reached from the dining area (?) would be a reason to avoid this bottleneck and obstacle. That thing, this bar corner, is just annoying. Setting the table for several people or having a buffet doesn’t work that way anyway.
