Fixed water connection for side-by-side refrigerator?

I have always been the ice cube type! So a luxury I enjoy and no longer want to do without.

Then definitely with a connection! Containers must be cleaned. If there is water in them, germs and bacteria form.

There are not only SbS or French door refrigerators with ice cube function, but also freezers or fridge/freezer combos (Liebherr) that have an automatic ice maker in the freezer compartment, of course with a fixed water connection. That has been enough for me for almost 16 years now; I take cold water from the kitchen faucet.

If you already indulge in this, then really with a fixed water connection, because otherwise the water tank is always empty when you don’t need it ;). I also had a separate water connection installed as close to the refrigerator as possible.

Ice cubes are not only for drinks, but also very valuable when, for example, you want to quickly cool down blanched vegetables to preserve their color.

You can also branch off behind the Aquastop, then it protects everything.
The flow rate is sufficient,
all devices need less and less water

I'll just attach my question here. Can you really connect the refrigerator, for example, behind the Aquastop of the dishwasher?

Second question:
Could you buy an additional Aquastop and connect only the refrigerator to it? (Presumably, the refrigerator is the only device on this side of the kitchen.)

You can't do it behind but in front, for all I care also with an additional aquastop directly at the faucet.

So the statement from my quote is not correct then?
