The manufacturers' aquastops are usually integrated into the inlet hose. There is nothing else you can do. Unless you cut the hose and insert a T-piece.

It is better to simply install another one before it.

The much better idea would be: place the water connection close to the refrigerator and use the long hose to the sink and dishwasher. Otherwise, it actually depends on the frequency of use. If you have been away for a few days, I would first let some water run before taking a sip, but you don't do it any differently with a normal faucet.

I wouldn’t know what a fixed water connection is needed for. We have 3 children who all like to nibble on ice cubes in the summer and a grandpa who likes to make himself a long drink with it in the evening. The 4-liter tank from our LG feels like it lasts forever for the rest of the year. In summer, I put fresh water in there every few days while I’m waiting for the coffee. I would only choose a fixed water connection if it really requires no additional work.

You forget people like us who not only use ice cubes in the summer but draw water from the connection multiple times daily. So don't always generalize from your own situation but advise individually. If we had a tank, I would curse so much because I would have to refill it several times a day, which is already annoying with the coffee machine. ;)

I don't need any water from the fridge at all, nor any ice cubes, just referring to us...
