Refrigerator with fixed water connection

I find it very difficult to decide on something like this without an overall view of the kitchen planning. One must also consider, for example, whether it might ever be an option to install a DGC with a fixed water connection or a KVA with a fixed water connection. Where would that be? It will never be as cheap as during the construction phase to simply have a second water connection. I have one for my icemaker in the rental apartment.

What is a DGC or KVA?

We will get a French door refrigerator with an ice cube dispenser.
For that, we need the fixed water connection because we don’t want to refill the tank.

The hose length should not be too long to prevent germ formation from standing water.

Since I am unfortunately not very familiar with this, I wanted to ask here whether a hose length of 2.5m is okay.
