You are right about the pantry. But the space just doesn't allow for more. Better a small pantry than none at all – that's what I thought. I've also seen some with 1.5m². That's better than nothing.

If needed, I will simply retrofit a door for the shower.

I have posted a revised sketch, where the living room is larger and the WC has been swapped with the utility room. Yes, there is a basement. To get ahead of it, we definitely want the utility room on the ground floor. :)
