Dry goods absorb moisture. If there are two fully loaded drying racks inside, I don't find that ideal.

Pasta and rice packaged in plastic do not absorb moisture. Canned or bottled goods neither. Salt, sugar, and flour ...o.k. these things are stored in our apothecary cabinet. It's all a matter of personal preference. ;)

We have enough things that definitely suffer from moisture. I like to buy bulk packages, which then stay open for a month or two. That is IMO the whole point of a pantry ;) Because I hate producing a pile of packaging waste every time I cook. Also, there are herbs hanging there to dry. Spices also quickly become a breeding ground for salmonella.

Ok. That's something else. I have a different way of stockpiling. Herbs are mostly used fresh with us or they are bought dried and stored dry in my drawer next to the stove. We only buy flour and the like as needed. We don't like leaving them out in the open. I just dab the goods then.

So. I took the feedback to heart, revised the floor plan a bit, and roughly added the dimensions.

The dressing room is now gone, but we still don't know if we want that.
The utility room has been rearranged.

For storage, you have a cellar, which should be cooler than the ground floor.

Storage within our modern new buildings no longer works – even if you call the room a pantry. You have to face the truth here and not keep in mind the pantries of grandma or mom in older houses.

Otherwise, I like the straightforward floor plan :)
