Feedback on the floor plan - single-family house with flat roof

I find the way from the entrance to the kitchen much too far. You have to carry the groceries through half the house, and if you want to carry them through the pantry, the way is not much better because it is quite narrow. I would also like to point out that shelves or similar things are supposed to be placed there, which will make the path even narrower.

Although, as has already correctly recognized, it is not really furnishable anyway, so it can only be used as a passage for the groceries, but not for storage.

The path of the purchases will usually lead through the pantry, if not the shelves there are already the destination of the journey.

In the relaunch, I see the suggestions essentially incorporated, but I am surprised about the new house shape regarding the roof - is this now to your taste, and the previous one rather that of the architect?

Do the children really value a smoking balcony that much?

The staircase is in the way, so it is obstructive. Apart from the problem that with this staircase orientation the children always rush past the sofa (even with their teenage friends), and the living room serves as a passage room, which means no peace can be created there, the mentioned problem with the kitchen would relax if the staircase were placed on the other side of the hallway and then the upstairs mirrored. Then the bathroom would also be on the correct side. The living room loses the passage-room atmosphere. I personally see no need to enter the staircase from the opposite side. It is just show and problematic for privacy with children. I am in a good position to say this because we have it the same way.

: The balcony is not a must but stylistically/architecturally it fits well into the ensemble. It was a similar consideration as in the first draft. As for the roof: we haven't settled on a shape, we have only excluded flat roofs & hip roofs. We like the Bauhaus style best from a perspective, but it’s also very expensive as planned in the first draft...

: That is a good argument!! The staircase is deliberately placed there to visually serve as a room divider and to visually separate the living and dining/cooking areas. However, I didn't consider the "through traffic." Still, I'm trying to plan the house with a 30-year perspective and the children/friends noise through the access in the living room is limited to 5 years...

No, but that is actually only "critical" during puberty. With children, the house can gladly be lively.
