Thanks already for the first feedback, the tip about the light in the kitchen was already a good one.

The blinds should all operate individually, probably with an additional switch in the living room for all the blinds at the same time.

I haven’t really understood the LAN thing yet. So far I have always managed with Wi-Fi, but cable is of course the safer method. Whether there is a single or double socket there is relatively unimportant.

Almost all the windows are floor-to-ceiling, so Christmas lights are initially of secondary importance.

How does it look in general with the number of power outlets and the number of ceiling spots? I was already advised that there are far too many spots.

I would definitely plan the LAN double socket wherever a TV might be placed in the future.

Reason: I assume that we will not be watching satellite TV forever. In my opinion, IPTV will replace it. And for IPTV, WLAN is no longer sufficient today, neither for current SD streams nor for HD streams.

I don’t understand. Who wants to abolish Sat? Maybe you have to pay something, yes, but otherwise? The technology is still state of the art, only the phone companies don’t like it. And what is that with iptv and WLAN? Iptv is probably television over the Internet. So what? Our Philips does that via WLAN without any problem. YouTube, Netflix, mediathek, maxdome, whatever you want. In HD. Carsten

Well, DVB-T worked too. They abolished it. The "old landline" also worked for decades, now it's being abolished and soon people will only make calls via IP. SAT-TV could eventually suffer the same fate. Your YouTube, Netflix, Mediathek, Maxdome, etc. are all not live TV. There is time for buffering and I am not informed about the picture quality. Proper IPTV (Telekom, 1und1, Vodafone) does not simply run over WLAN. An additional bridge is required there (an external additional device connected to the IPTV receiver and possibly to the router). These bridges usually require line of sight and are not comparable to normal WLAN in terms of range.

For me, there are also too many spots, or rather, I don't like ceiling spots above the sofa. In our kitchen, we have 8 spots (each 365 lumens) and that is really very bright, you can see every little crumb; above the sofa that would be much too bright for me. In the bathroom, we have one spot above the shower and that is bright enough for me, I didn’t want it any brighter. When you go to the bathroom at night, you don’t want to enter a brightly lit room, so it’s best if you can turn the light on separately. For that, we planned a wall lamp in the bathroom, so it’s not so bright at night.

Best regards
Sabine

Of course that works. What could possibly be so impossible about a 10 MBit stream?
