We wanted to have brick cladding, but only for aesthetic reasons, and that is infinitely expensive and absolutely pointless for a timber frame house. Now we are considering decorating parts of the facade with brick slips. Let's see what the offers say, but we tend to go for full plaster, as in the end the money is probably better invested in more important things.
Then we searched for a color idea for a long time - of course the decision is only important later, but we just wanted to have an idea of what the house could look like. Because we definitely want white window frames (we have already ruled out this white with anthracite windows, we are building the house for us to live and love, not for resale, and what everyone else does we often no longer find so nice for exactly that reason) and because white/white is not a beautiful combination, we had two ideas:
- White facade and wooden windows/door -> we like it visually, but we preferred low-maintenance plastic window frames
- Or gray facade and white windows/doors So there is no other house like that in our residential area and one neighboring house is gray brick-clad, so it will probably fit in quite well
Roof will be black/anthracite.
So long story short: We are on your side
