I think so. What used to be the lotus effect is now, depending on the manufacturer, this additional designation that costs extra. Keratect or Wondergliss or something like that (the name makes me shudder..)

I always wanted this Subway from Villeroy & Boch. But I didn't like the open rim, so it became the Keramag Icon for the guest WC and for the upstairs bathrooms the house brand Derby which is identical to Keramag Renova Nr. 1. Of course, all 3 are rimless and so far we can't complain. We have only tested the WCs during the construction phase. It was also important to us for the bathroom WCs that a standard WC seat fits on them. Our plumber took extra photos with a standard WC seat beforehand and showed them to us. My kids also want one of those nice colorful ones for their bathroom

Our plumber says about these coated WCs: "Money making and a waste of money"

Two points from me: I just asked my wife about cleaning the toilets. She said that the new rimless toilet is easier to clean. However, she wouldn’t need less cleaning agent – okay, but our kids are now using the toilet more and not so much the diaper or potty. Friends had once given us the tip about rimless toilets. They then got some from Keramag. Half a year after moving in, they told us that they probably wouldn’t have chosen them anymore. The reason is probably the cleaning of the toilet. When the lid is up, and they press the flush to clean, it happens repeatedly that a splash goes over the edge. When the lid is down, the splash is stopped by the lid.

Just asked my wife - urine on the underside of the seat comes "within the normal range2" - meaning, just like with the old toilet. However, we notice that when emptying the potty, the stool tends to stick more and the toilet brush does not get it off quite as effectively. The reason is probably that the ceramic is somehow coated. Unfortunately, the stool sticks - but the brush just slips over it. Hmm - somehow a bit unappetizing as a topic right now.
