I have thrown our rimless toilet into the ring here:

Toto Tornado Flush

My wife is still enthusiastic after 1.5 years because 1. it flushes very well, 2. it is relatively easy to clean, and 3. nothing splashes over (not even on the toilet seat).

I mention the last point because a friend of ours regularly gets annoyed about it, as the water on her rimless Keramag (almost 2 years old) repeatedly splashes over during flushing. It has come to the point that she definitely wants to replace the toilet (in the future).
I have already read here that Keramag is apparently working on fixing the problem.

Negatives about the Toto:
- it was very expensive (tears in the eyes)
- you should use the original toilet seats (don't know if this is also recommended by other manufacturers)

PS: By the way, the name is program with this toilet. The flush actually creates a vortex (like a tornado). The Japanese really know their toilets.

Reviews of toilets: elegant and timeless, fits the buttocks like a warm summer rain; unfortunately, sometimes a little mess happens.

Hi,

we have two Keramag Icons, nothing spills over. Neither when "filling" nor when flushing.
We chose the Keratec coating, also for the sinks. It is indeed somewhat easier to clean, but it can't work miracles.
According to the seller, the Keratec coating is supposed to be one of the few/the only one on the market that is permanent. Because it is supposedly fired multiple times. No idea if that is true.

So far very satisfied.

Regards,

Andreas

We actually planned to take Subway 2.0 (offener Spülrand) from Villeroy & Boch. Now, however, I have read such bad reviews on the big online department store that I am unsure what we should buy. As an alternative, they also had the Keramag Icon without Spülrand in the bathroom store, but I have already read negative reviews about this one as well. We actually just wanted a toilet that simply works. Does anyone have the Subway 2.0 with offenem Spülrand and can report on it? The coating of the toilets is similar...some find it very good, others write that they cannot see a difference from uncoated ceramic. Best regards Sabine

There are also plenty of regular toilets where it splashes out. Probably all a question of the right pressure!? And nowadays, you’re supposed to keep the toilet lid closed when flushing anyway? Otherwise, toxic gases spread (according to Focus-Online, so not really a reliable source ).
