Villeroy & Boch Subway 2.0 does not splash, however, in our case the seat is also down.

Well, the glasses & the lid also should not get wet.

I wouldn't have expected that one could discuss the ceramic bowl in over 65 posts.

However, we also don't have a flush rim, it's the house brand of a renowned manufacturer of our sanitary installer, so nothing special.

And what can I say... I have to clean that thing just like any other toilet (what a surprise).

And as always, it's the seat and lid, rather than the ceramic, that suffer first.

Okay, thanks for the information.

What I am personally still interested in – and I have somewhat lost track... with which rimless models can you mount the "StD." seats (e.g. from the hardware store)?

That's enough, since this ceramic is not really "worse" than a comparable branded product. Maybe the piece lacks the glazing "x" or coating "y" – whatever these inventive descriptions may mean (I'm sure can explain that) – compared to another provider of comparable bathroom fixtures. The selection of sanitary objects often has something to do with prestige.

I chose the rimless variant solely for the simple reason that it is easier to maintain; consistently in all wet rooms. I couldn't care less which name is embossed on the ceramic... and I know many... whose toilets all serve the same purpose anyway.

Best regards from the Rhineland
