E3/DC, for example, offers such systems directly in combination with inverters and storage. However, this does not work based on the idea of "Now there is solar power, now there isn't - and the machine turns off again," but rather weather data and forecasts are taken into account. This is intended to allow large consumers (heat pump, pool heating, etc.) to be controlled effectively. This can also help avoid the 70% shutdown, as the system changes the usual sequence of "self-consumption, battery charging, feed-in" on a forecasted sunny day and feeds something into the grid even with a full battery despite daylight, because the system knows that the 70% limit will be reached at midday and then the energy above that is first fed into the battery.

Yes, that is totally off and shows how not to do it. When the machine is running, the cycle must also run through. 80€ for a basically "normal" switchable socket is totally exaggerated... among other things, that’s why such things are rejected by the broad masses, because the entry cost is excessive.

That’s why I write there must be a concept for the entire building and not something where you need "special" sockets.

In my case, load distribution costs me about 10€ per socket and a few minutes at the laptop. The sensors, etc. are already there for other subsystems anyway and you can use the data they provide for all applications and not just for a very specific one.

As a rule, some kind of EMS is always necessary with photovoltaics. Ergo, you always have the expenses. So why not also get the last bit out of the system?

Hmm, do you want to know the names of the interfaces and protocols now? Like RS232, RS485, JTAG, etc. These are generally known, but handling them often requires training in this field.

No, that’s not a problem but a necessity whether you have an EMS or not.

That’s the point. It’s not a solitary object, but part of a whole.

Misconception. When building a house (and also other things in life), there are some things where you simply have to spend the money and never earn it back. In the case of photovoltaics, the fact is that some kind of energy management is always and necessarily required, so why not exploit the full potential?

In other words, the money is gone no matter what you do, because... well, because this black box must exist and without photovoltaics it provides no electricity from the roof. So it’s obvious that I want to get the highest degree of utility out of this black box. But yes, of course, there are also those who don’t care about that.

To each their own. Others do not want to live without it anymore. You have the same picture with the topic of the thread. Some don’t understand it and want to hear nothing about it, others find it pointless, third consider it uneconomical, and then of course there are those who get it all and see their benefit in it.

I still don't really understand how much technology I need for all this... I need a machine that I can control via interface. I need a system of sensors, I need an energy management system and I need a network with computers so that I can also persist all this? It all sounds kind of very expensive

It is also so compared to the benefit. And a really clean, easy-to-use solution does (still) not exist.

Can you go into more detail? We're building with 40+, accordingly battery and photovoltaics. However, it would be new to me that anything special is managed besides the battery which tries to charge itself when there is likely to be too much feed-in and otherwise would be curtailed.

Look at the details of your WR, most have something integrated. It then depends on what the Smart Meter measures. Then it usually goes either via SG-Ready contacts or Modbus to other consumers that you want to control based on the yield.
