Energy management systems and control of washing machine, dryer, and property

So what you're writing here sounds all great, but I'm still missing the connection to reality. We usually run the dishwasher in the evening because it's full by then. Partly, there are things in there that need to be clean by the next morning. By the way, that's how I know it from many families. The alternative would be to run it at noon, and all the things I want to use in the morning would have to be washed by hand. Great progress and definitely exactly what I want :rolleyes:

So you can do it exactly as mycraft suggested: fill it before work and then during the day the system runs automatically. However, you could also automate this with a control system so that the dishwasher actually starts exactly when there is enough sun available.

No, the alternative is: you use it exactly as usual AND if you want to save something, you can also fill it in the morning and run it then. The rest is done by the dishwasher itself. explained that exactly right.

You can use the washing machine as usual AND also have the option to run it with power from the roof when you are not at home. A simple timer is just too inflexible for that.

No contradiction to the original idea and absolutely common and necessary as a condition. The person shouldn't get annoyed and is supposed to experience the greatest possible comfort. Nothing is worse than an automation that doesn't work.

I always knew that minimalism is a wrong path. If you only own 2 coffee cups, you just have to do the dishes while the sun is shining ;)

And I just ordered half a dozen dishwashers because next week the sun won’t shine again :cool:
