So what? I still enjoy playing with Playmobil with the kids....to each their own, and upgradable to whatever, I don’t know, that’s also the system because KNX is after all knx.
One more thing about Loxone: the idea behind Loxone is completely different from KNX. You can compare Loxone with Homematic. KNX is decentralized and Loxone is centralized! That was also one of the main reasons against Homematic for me.
Honestly, I don’t need tiles or floors over €40/m²...some might need that, but we don’t. Likewise, we planned for 2 bathrooms, not 3. We don’t need air conditioning either, it certainly won’t be installed in the house. The controlled residential ventilation is included in the house price and yes, I looked exactly at what that means. By the way, building "high quality" for me means a house that combines the things I want. Whether others see that as "high quality" is irrelevant to me because the house is not a status symbol but living space. If I have to forgo something else for the doors and windows we have fallen in love with, then so be it.
Again about KNX, why shouldn’t Loxone be expandable? I’m curious, I can program via ETS just the same, retrofit various actuators and who knows what else...if you can give me more info on why it wouldn’t work, I’m all ears. Then it just gets dropped and there’s no KNX, which I don’t find so bad...
