Does the angled extractor hood suction adequately?

I consider downward extraction to be physical nonsense but fine... We have a slanted one from Miele and it sucks great no matter where something is standing. Even the odors from the air fryer next to the cooktop are drawn in.

Therefore Falmec Marilyn. But it does not fit the request.

, if then the Sintesi, Marilyn is the hood. You do have full surfaces, if you may call it that, but the cooktop has far too little depth.

In general, the downdraft extractors from Bora, Berbel, etc. work perfectly.

Correct, Marilyn is the hood. The cooktop is the Siemens EH801KU12E and sufficiently deep, although only 79 x 51 on the outside.

If the OP hasn’t thought about downdraft extractors yet – with Bora I know it works well.

Go to a cooking show in a studio and check the hood in use...

Now, now. Poor physics ;)

Yes, it works. The aerosols to be sucked in are so light that they follow any air flow in any direction. Up, down, sideways, doesn't matter.

Cross currents cause problems, which is why you should not open the window while the extractor is running.

Buy a proper hood and everything will be fine. I’m currently using a Siemens iQ500 LC98KLP60 and am very satisfied. The only downside: With a lot of steam, it condenses on the hood and drips down.
