Does the angled extractor hood suction adequately?

We definitely want a Siemens extractor hood, since all the other appliances will also be from Siemens. I have also heard about the problem with the dripping steam. Otherwise, the experiences here seem very positive and we will probably choose a slanted hood.

I do. It's not a factual thing. Others put a question mark after a statement? That is also understandable and cannot be explained factually.

We just want to have everything from one company to stay within the same design line/operation.

We originally planned that too, also Siemens - old connection, although I haven’t worked there for a long time :D but by now we are a bit more flexible, e.g. the oven is supposed to be Neff, because of the Slide-and-Hide. The induction hob is supposed to be Bosch, because I like the design better there. The technology underneath is almost identical in all three.

For the same reason, we also bought everything from Siemens. Everything already uniform..

I have a slanted hood and am satisfied with the suction power. Above all, it is very easy to clean.

You didn’t ask about experiences with the other devices, but maybe it helps someone with their purchasing decision..

With the other devices (Siemens IQ700 series) oven and microwave, it annoys me massively that fingerprints are constantly visible on the stainless steel. My sister has AEG devices in her kitchen from 12 years ago, and even those have an "anti-fingerprint" surface.

That you first have to operate the oven with "stop" to change the heating mode and then use the right arrow key to set the temperature and then adjust it with the rotary control, I have gotten used to that by now... Microwave the same game for the temperatures.

The original baking sheets warp in the oven despite preheating them. I don’t like that so much either.. The baking result (e.g. pizza or bread or cake etc.) is not even. One side is always more done than the other..

We chose a standalone 80cm ceramic hob from the series for that. It feels like it takes quite a long time until it really gets going. Probably should’ve switched to induction after all...

These are my experiences after about 3 years.

I always had Siemens devices before, but the latest ones are simply no longer what Siemens used to be. Next time, I’ll look at other options.
