On the other hand, there is a stainless steel oil available at DM. Apply a super thin layer once, and you’re good for six months.

6 months? How often do you touch your devices?

So far, I haven't found any product that lasts longer than 3 days. We cook daily and on weekends for the whole family.

Cleaning itself is not the problem; I wonder why it even has to come to that.

I am a heavy user of the kitchen. The stainless steel refrigerator is touched several times a day. Oven at least every two days.

If it only lasts three days for you, something is wrong. Once oiled, long-lasting calm.

Don't forget to wash your hands - if I touch everything immediately after shaping the meatballs, I also have greasy fingers everywhere. Just as an extreme example...

It often also depends on what the manufacturer uses. Pure stainless steel without protective coating is a nightmare. But there is also stainless steel with protective coating. This is then quite unproblematic. Refrigerator surfaces often look like brushed stainless steel, but brushed aluminum with protective coating is used. This surface is totally unproblematic.

If it is real stainless steel, then it is no problem. But if a magnet still sticks to it, then you might as well leave the cleaning cloth outside.
