Good day everyone,

I have ordered a kitchen and got the sidebyside myself (Samsung). Now I wanted to ask how much space you left on the left and right of the refrigerator so that the doors open properly?

I have now seen values of about 2.5 m to 3.2 cm.

Thank you very much.

If the SbS is 70cm deep, it stands out and the doors open well. If it is 60cm deep, plan 5cm of space on each side. You don't plan a kitchen with mm. Plaster thickness, crooked walls, etc., you can only measure, and you also have to be able to install it.

And the ventilation at the bottom side wants 10cm distance ;)

The question is pointless if you don't know where it is supposed to stand. As already suggested, only the operating manual provides clarification. Should it stand in the middle, or on the edge with a wall or....? A planning layout would help, as would which model you have in mind.

Example Samsung Frenchdoor 647l

an SBS with a narrower freezer section

Samsung prescribes a 50mm distance on the sides and back to cabinets for all Samsung cooling devices, and 100mm above. If such a device is 912mm wide, the niche will probably be 1000mm because of the overhead construction.
