So I don’t want to give up our LG anymore, water and ice dispenser, French door, and I was initially skeptical about LG but I can’t complain, the only thing is of course it’s a bit loud in an open living area, so you might hear it a little. The device is 4 years old, has been moved once in the meantime, and we’ve never had any trouble with the device, except waiting 6 weeks for a glass shelf once. Also, the freezer part hasn’t frozen together or built up extreme ice so far.

We want to get:
- Samsung RH69B8041S9/EG with water tank
I hope that the described Samsung problems do not apply to this one :-)

So far, we have mainly dealt with Samsung Side by Side units that are broken, Samsung does not necessarily always stand for durability. However, I was surprised that they replaced the display on a 2.5-year-old TV as a goodwill gesture. Take a look at the LG devices.

We are actually an LG household. TV, dryer, washing machine, and refrigerator. But I just really like their Side by Side.

Oh, by the way, it occurs to me that the SBS of my father-in-law was also broken after 3 years. The freezer part no longer worked. Repair was not possible because the manufacturer does not offer spare parts or the repair was uneconomical. Also Samsung. But of course, it could be a coincidence. How long has the SBS you have in mind been around? Are there enough older reviews? Then it should be fine, otherwise hands off (-:

We also find "French Door" much more practical than "Side by Side" and probably have the same one as . Very quiet, very pleasant to handle, and large/wide usable space. Depending on the organization inside the refrigerator, you don't necessarily have to open both doors all the time. That is, if you position the items you frequently need on only one side (left), you can reach everything with just one open door. Also, you can open the drawer. The drawers in the freezer compartment are great anyway and much more practical than doors.
