Why? Usually, wooden houses are somewhat more expensive. Not by much - with comparable quality, equipment, etc., but they are still a bit more expensive. Wood has simply become expensive.

and that is exactly where the problem lies, you cannot send the same planning with the same construction of a single-family house to a solid house manufacturer and at the same time to a timber builder and think that you then have a comparison, the detail is where the difference lies, to get a real comparison, you have to do much more work, otherwise you are comparing a dog to a cat ... every timber frame house must be cheaper than a solid house ...

We have sent nothing, but sat down several times with the individual providers. But it doesn't matter what I say now, you have your opinion, don't even justify it, but present it as a fact. Great basis for argumentation

This claim does not become true by mere repetition. There are designs that can be realized both with stone and with timber frame construction, there are designs where only timber frame construction is possible (the price tags resulting from this are not exactly low...), and there are designs that cannot be realized in timber frame construction (the prices are usually not exactly low then either...). For designs that can be realized in both construction methods, timber framing is usually somewhat more expensive. Material costs must be taken into account, structural effort for the respective frame must be considered, etc... But with timber framing, you have different possibilities than with masonry construction, and these different possibilities were also worth the extra cost for us.

.. because with wood and a wooden structure, a complete shell of a building can be constructed in a significantly shorter time, for example within a few days including roofing, max. one to two weeks, plus the much shorter time for the finished interior walls, since panels are used and these are screwed onto the existing wooden structure, whereas a solid house has to be built with masonry, grooves for pipes have to be milled, everything has to be plastered again afterwards, reinforced concrete ceilings have to be shuttered, steel and reinforcing mesh mats laid, concrete poured, etc., knee walls poured, roof truss erected and roof covered, you can calculate this time yourself, it comes to weeks and this working time is expensive, labor is more expensive than material, but a timber frame house must be planned differently than a solid house because the wooden structure should be cheap and simple, here it is about a normal cheap single-family house and not the "wooden villa" like for example from "HUF", then it becomes expensive, even very expensive

. such a discussion cannot be conducted in the forum, as completely constructive evidence and proof are missing, and regarding your quoted sentence: you mean the other way around > with a solid house you have more options than with a half-timbered house, or what exactly did you compare here
