My parents have a hsb. Actually, I haven’t been able to discover any acute defects so far. There was even a pipe burst in the upper floor. But no problem. What stands out is the heat in an upper floor room with full west-facing sun. Second thing is maybe a bit sound-permeable but there are 1. remedies and 2. it’s not much different in a solid house either. You just live with your family in a limited space. Advantages are of course construction time and individuality. Walls are easier to remove and redesign. If you want, you can better access partition wall installations. Even shortly before the start of construction, walls can still be redesigned without problems. Ok, except load-bearing. Another advantage is the wall thickness itself with only 25 cm an exterior wall with still high-quality insulation! I think it’s great. And I also believe that with good execution there are hardly any effective disadvantages compared to a solid house. And in a hurricane no solid house stands either.
