Morning,

So that means: A solid house costs 119,500 € less with the same equipment, same size, same quality, same floor plan, same performance? Did I understand that correctly? And you also have offers for that? Or is that your amateur calculation?

Regards

This is not an amateur calculation, but I really have offers for it. The plan is of course the same. Only that I will not install full thermal insulation, but the planned bricks have a mineral filling. The U-value between a solid house and a wooden house is naturally a difference here, but in my opinion the additional costs do not pay off.

@Claus... built 3 weeks ago :D So very current.. :D

But you are aware that the asking price is usually not the same as the actual price?
But as is often the case: everyone is the architect of their own fortune :)

@Der Da
that your house was only built 3 weeks ago was nowhere apparent :P
I also flirted with the timber frame construction method, but was then very shocked by the offered price. Of course, I am also aware that you can contribute your own work here. But how much would that be?!
I also had an offer for a completely finished wooden house for about the same price with a garage (but without usable space above, it would at most be used as a roof terrace), but 1. that would have been effective living space of 108 sqm and 2. as I already said, I am not a fan of Polish "skilled workers." It can go well, but it doesn’t have to.
If you are happy with your house, then I am too ;)
And just as you said: Everyone is the architect of their own fortune.
Somewhere you have to find the right middle ground without driving the costs too high and at the same time getting a reasonable performance.

I am sure that good Claus has two offers with different services and qualities. I will only believe 1/3 cheaper when I have seen it.......

That's what I'm saying, I can imagine everything except that the solid house should be 1/3 cheaper with the same performance.

With Claus's previous statements, we can't make anything of it.
