We are talking about the front door here. And that goes in before plaster and screed. Different from the interior doors.

And what is so bad about that? It was meant to be an example that size doesn’t always matter... :-)

No, mostly not. Plaster + screed leave some space. The door comes in at the very end and is slightly reworked.

I have learned that now as well. I had outsourced the doors because only the installation time for the interior doors was indicated on the construction plan, so I followed that. In the end, the exterior and interior plaster as well as the screed were done twice. Before installation and after installation of the doors. Here is a photo from outside and inside.

Two times work means 2x travel costs and total costs. The construction time is also extended because the plasterers also have to come immediately after the door installation, but that rarely works...

Just like with you... But it is cheaper than always fixing the damage to the door. And not to mention the discussions with the builders - as you can see here with the OP.
