Cracks in window sills normal?

Well.. if it bothers you that much.. just try to have it replaced.. I just wanted to take the pressure off you, as if it were something terrible.. ;)

My window sills are fine :cool: With the extra charge I certainly don't expect any with cracks/breaks, etc.

Those are my quartz veins, aren't they? Those are cracks.

OK. The crack will probably be explained by this (see attachment).

In my opinion, the information sheet on the material does not mention typical transport or processing damage.

Based on the pictures, these are not quartz veins (former cracks in the stone that have been refilled), but current cracks caused by processing, transport, or installation. For me, this is defective or B-grade material. There are also undamaged window sills made of limestone...

For clarification, are the "cracks" palpable? In other words, does your fingernail catch on them, or can water, dirt, etc. get in?

Our cracks are not even noticeable. I took a sip of water on the crack spot 2 hours ago..

Looks much more "dramatic" in the close-up pictures than it really is. Here is another angle and distance.. the crack fades away..

But there is nothing about cracks there. Or did I overlook it?
