Even worse than teachers, I find bankers. Especially those from Hessen are really bad. They pollute other people’s threads with ad-hominem drivel and then double down when they are rightly banned. Not even the best teacher can teach them manners anymore.

So, on the topic: I also unreservedly agree with the opinion that the questioner thought too naively here and consequently gave away too much personal responsibility. This is now coming back to haunt them.

A change of architect and a stop to the project until then should be considered. Throwing good money after bad is something you can’t afford.

As the head physician of obstetrics said when we had our first child: "Teachers and lawyers are the worst patients. And female teachers who once trained as nurses are even worse" (that is my wife)

I don’t know what ad hominem means but yes what’s so bad about finding cautionary words?! From the banker’s point of view, the OP has a huge problem with the additional financing! Serious calculations must be done here. It’s exactly the amateur approach to building a house that backfires! Immediate communication with the chief architect must be started here!

Ad hominem is when you get personal and leave the matter at hand.

Telling a teacher that their problems are because they are a teacher, as such people generally couldn't do anything in real life if they had to deal with adults instead of students.

That is, for example, ad hominem and besides being obvious nonsense also completely antisocial.

Awo can take criticism. And it is known that I like to get sharper from time to time. Sorry when I have several teachers and one architect around me!! One species only talks and acts, and for the architect they are the favorite clientele because although difficult customers, they are still tame in business dealings! You have to be tougher there!! Nothing helps by being clever here in the forum. I would puke (sorry for the word) if such miscalculations happen from the start. Well, whatever, keep discussing. It’s like at a parent-teacher meeting.

That is not the problem. The problem is that you consider your experiences universal: Know strange teachers = all teachers are strange. If you know one, you know them all... And with this knowledge, you personally rub it in to the OP. That doesn't help anyone, but once again you were just showing off.

Those were a few cautionary words, I only want the best for you.

Just because you are tough, you shouldn't assume that for everyone. And definitely not dish it out as if everyone is like you.
