Wow, I need to digest that first. Because we have only just applied for the loan now...

For example, we were not informed that the shell builder is already 10k euros over the offer after the excavation and foundation of the extension. The invoice was simply forwarded. As the builder, do I now always have to check the offer and invoice in all details? Of course, we do that anyway, but wouldn't a short notification to the one who has to pay everything be sensible?

For example, I am on the construction site every day and check or approve the invoice myself and transfer the payment. I don’t even know why you handed over such a sensitive matter.

The architect must check the invoice to see if all measurements and calculated quantities are correct. And if that is the case, then you must pay. Checking the invoice is not your responsibility. Although a little control certainly doesn’t hurt.

My assumption is that no completed individual items are listed on the interim payments, so the architect doesn't even know what has been charged.

I am also on the construction site every day, but since we are complete laymen, we have hired an architect to manage the construction. So that we are on the safe side. *hysterical laughter*
