Now I'm really starting to doubt our electrical planning. But no, I find it really expensive for a somewhat better conventional electrical installation. Where are you building?

Then definitely keep looking further. Even if the details here are not entirely clear, I also find the total price significantly too expensive. We are building 260 m2 and paying around 32k for electrical work with basic KNX.

in BaWü (71088). I thought that the costs of the electrical installation are independent of the location... My building feeling says 20 to max. 30K€ for the better conventional electrical installation. But unfortunately, I am a builder without technical knowledge...

That also corresponds more to my offer and feeling. Although I have to say that we only had an alternative offer made to our standard general contractor offer. And that is a friendly electrician. We are paying 24k for 240sqm including FaH

What is FaH? Our total area including usable space is about 300sqm.
We are currently looking at all possibilities to reduce costs in every trade because our shell construction costs exceed the planned budget by about 20% (simply no better alternative despite several tenders).

200 or 250 sqm doesn’t necessarily make much difference for the electrical work. Usually, all the rooms just have a bit more space and 1-2 rooms are on top. That is hardly any additional effort electrically. I think sqm values are not necessarily meaningful in this trade. The price here is a bit expensive but still acceptable. Are the spots including the light bulbs? Depending on what you got, that’s already a few thousand going out for that. In addition to the relatively expensive installation of the boxes in the ceiling. You could save on the underground cable. You can get that at any hardware store or online. Give a 20er to the electrician on site and invest the 250€ savings into the holiday fund. Also save a bit, although not necessarily much, on the USB sockets. I think they cost about 10-15€ from Gira in the standard program. Either install them yourself or just give them to the electrician on site as well. Whether he installs a normal one or one with USB makes no difference. The same story with the thermostats. I assume you have them upgraded? If so – then check the price yourself. Also talk to the people on site when installing the devices.
