Cork or bamboo for a children's room?

I cannot understand the reservations against a combination of parquet and underfloor heating. The heating loops can be laid closer together if there are concerns that the heating output might otherwise be insufficient. Talk to your heating installer. You should not base your decision on such prejudices.

Even though the thread is already a bit older: May I ask what you have decided on? And whether you are satisfied with the decision? We are currently making similar considerations regarding the children's rooms, so I am interested in the outcome here.

The thread creator is no longer active in the forum as far as I know, so he will not write any more replies (unfortunately, he had some bad luck with the construction, which I found out while quickly reading through his construction thread).

If you use untreated cork flooring for gluing, you still have the issue that you need to choose an adhesive that is as low in harmful substances as possible (are there any good ones?). Additionally, a hardware store company had the word "low-emission" online for the "untreated cork." Does untreated cork release harmful substances that it releases in low amounts?
