Since you are a fan of gas heating. If in 10 years gas prices are high and you switch to a heat pump now, that reads as a problem. Why?
I don't quite understand the post, I would already rely on a heat pump today for many reasons: if possible and if financially sensible depending on the general contractor/tradespeople/own possibilities (purchase price). If you have no time/desire or only get overpriced offers for the heat pump, then gas. At the very least, the underfloor heating should be designed for no more than about 30° flow temperature so that switching later is possible.
