Of course, every kW not consumed is hard cash in your pocket.

Of course. But if I save only €3 per month in the end, I might not go through the rather extensive optimization process.

I don't quite understand the post, I would already rely on a heat pump today for many reasons: if possible and if financially sensible depending on the general contractor/tradespeople/own possibilities (purchase price). If you have no time/desire or only get overpriced offers for the heat pump, then gas. At the very least, the underfloor heating should be designed for no more than about 30° flow temperature so that switching later is possible.

It's your decision and completely legitimate. However, only you can calculate/know how much you could save. Because every house is different and the savings effects depend heavily on the behavior of the residents.

That means 5 kWh per day in December? I wonder how that is possible. Normally the hot water alone requires that. And especially in December you have to heat a lot. The house is very small, but still? We heat 210 m2 and KFW55 with a similar system and need about 25 kWh per day. I find that more realistic.

I would probably also save myself that much effort with gas. For example, if you can operate the bathroom and living room completely without a thermostat, then the heating curve is not entirely wrong. At least I would do that. You do the construction once and never again.
