Thank you very much for the breakdown. But you really did build with high quality.

I find your perception a bit distorted. Replace my photovoltaic system with your venetian blinds. We have the same standard, believe me. For example, I don’t have tiled showers, no concealed fittings, no rain shower, etc. The bathrooms are nice but not outstanding.

yes the venetian blinds... that's not a must, currently a wish. but you probably have electrically operated roller shutters... are the venetian blinds so much more expensive in comparison? I have to honestly say that I found hardly anything about it. we don't need a groundwater cellar... nor a slope support. plus all the self-performed work (I know, it's a ton of working hours). it wasn't about me pinpointing exactly 200k, I just wanted a more realistic estimate. let's just make the 200k "x"...

Our WU basement will not be plastered, only primed and painted white. Plastering the basement inside costs €8-10k which I save compared to your basement. With that, your savings are almost gone again. But whatever, I don't want to argue here, just give you some orientation. Compared to manual roller shutters, the electric ones cost about €5k. Your venetian blinds at least twice that.

Yes, you can forget about 200,000, no chance, the material alone costs far more. Then all the additional costs, you will easily end up between 350,000 and 400,000 in total.

But you have to be aware that your house configuration of 13 bullet points does not allow for a more precise estimate. The participants here report their experience values to you, and based on my experience, I would also confirm them. I cannot imagine a custom-designed single-family house new build costing less than 2,000 EUR per square meter either. Get a construction guide from your local Volksbank, maybe the Sparkasse or other banks also have something like that. It is a little booklet with all kinds of tips and you have both statistical values showing which level of equipment had to be calculated with which square meter prices in recent years as well as a handful of very concrete house construction projects with pictures, floor plans, equipment, and prices up to completion. Maybe that will give you a different perspective on things.

Or maybe you know someone in your circle of friends who can give you their construction cost statement, their equipment protocol with prices, etc. That quickly adds up to 40-60 pages of details and they are then somewhat more concrete than 13 bullet points.
