So what? That doesn’t mean you know what it’s like to work a night shift alternating with late or early shifts. To cover for sick colleagues and to jump from one shift to another. Sometimes three night shifts in a row or not being with your family on Sundays and public holidays. Of course, especially when you’re young, it’s very manageable and an opportunity to have more in your wallet through hardship allowances. But from 30/35 or 40 most people start feeling the strain.I have been working in the hospital for over 10 years and know about 500
That is really a mockery for those who actually do it. If only you were a shift worker yourself, but you speak of a completely different occupational group than you belong to. I stood with that occupational group on strike the year before last (?)… I myself did shift work and luckily got out…You "only" work 40 hours a week and have 2 days off per week. Just not Saturday and Sunday. For some it’s hardship, for others a convenient way to earn extra money.
Right now that is you, who more or less works from home and presumes to say that this professional group has a “great” opportunity to earn money by working at inconvenient times.Because there are people here who think that because they know someone, they understand the industry.
