Absolutely crisis-proof and at least 10,000 gross. I guess doctor or lawyer.

All other jobs where you can earn this salary are not absolutely crisis-proof.

Congratulations on the house and such a top salary!
And you are right. Those who can't manage to "blow" 4,100 EUR net... many families in Germany live on less and still pay rent from it.

There are even completely different jobs where this salary is more than normal. Take a look around the IT industry. We both also work in IT and there you are looking at 105-140k annual salary per person without bonus and other extras. but it has already been mentioned. These are the top 10 if not even 5% of Germany.

Well, not every IT specialist earns over 100k; those are more likely management positions or specialists in large companies. That is not the majority. But still, one can definitely make a good living far from the "traditional" well-paid jobs, also with security.

According to Statista 2018, from 100,000 gross you belong to the top 7%, from 125,000 to the top 4%.

With 70,000, by the way, already to the top 15%, with 50,000 to the top 25%.

Therefore, don’t worry about it, you won’t starve because you built a house ;)

Don't forget, an absolutely crisis-proof job where you can practically earn ANY salary you can think of is internet forum troll. ;) It doesn't have to be that way, of course, but a jump of 3k net in the top tax bracket is definitely around 60k gross per year. That's already unusual for a single job change, even when moving into a management position (?).

Nope. For example, when you move up from project management to senior management, or when you go from specialist doctor to senior physician or chief physician, or from sales to department manager or even head of Central Europe region.

It's not completely unrealistic.

It's also not unrealistic that the top 4-10% gather in a house building forum. I just find the insecurity unusual, with people earning 6-7,000 EUR net often asking here whether they can afford it. Sometimes I scratch my head because it seems many have somewhat lost touch with regular society with average salaries.
