I didn’t watch while pouring the foundation slab and also skipped the construction supervisor. The house still stands...[emoji2] Just stay calm, the really big stressors might still come and not everything is regulated by law. That’s what lawyers are for..

You can now touch and walk on the proof ;)
You should photograph all steps and document them for yourself.

I don't think the site manager looked at the base slab here. After five days, the Wienebergers were unloaded and after a week they were worked away.

You will still see the surface of the base slab for a long time – your supervisor can form his opinion later as well. And a bricklayer does not build on a knowingly faulty base slab... You can't see beneath it anyway.

I agree, I should be able to see the proof :) No, I mean it more like I receive proof or a "confirmation" that according to the structural engineer everything was executed... for example, strip foundations wider/deeper, reinforcement instead of 1m wide 2m wide, that there is a foil somewhere in between, etc.

So, at our place the site manager has already approved the base slab. Checked position and levelness. But I also believe that this is not always done.

If it doesn't let you rest, why don't you try to engage an expert in [ZH] at short notice?

The construction manager is obliged to inspect the reinforcement; he is liable for ensuring that the structural design has been executed correctly.

Have you ever seen a construction manager while the foundation slab was being poured? Here in our project, I have not been able to observe that anywhere. That is masonry work, and afterwards you cannot see what was installed.
