I would also find your electricity tourism prediction off. The good thing is:
If we buy more electricity through spot market tariffs, we can charge the vehicle batteries when electricity is cheap and use the battery power when it becomes more expensive again. Besides the sometimes significant savings effect a household can achieve that way, there is simultaneously a smoothing load shift in the market. Win-win. Considering that the large batteries in cars are relatively cheap, the whole thing makes multiple sense.

When the bidirectional charging is done, I might possibly deviate from my rule proven over decades that a car should not cost more than 3 months' income and look around the market for new electric vehicles. Unfortunately, at the moment, I don’t really like any vehicle under 100k.

Or I continue as before and let someone else (usually a company) bear the depreciation of the first 3 years.

My husband and I are still hoping a little to find an existing house in need of renovation, perhaps even listed as a historic monument. Then we would swap.
