Classic city villa with flat roof or double-pitched roof - ideas?

No, I am talking about a full floor with an attic! Commonly called a 1.5-story house - but half stories do not exist. A gable roof house where the living area upstairs is counted as 2/3. So: a semi-detached house where the entire upper floor will belong to only one unit.

Below are 2 units each with a front door. One unit has no stairs. The unit with the stairs uses the entire attic. The latter unit would then be the larger one, the first mentioned would be the granny flat :)

Write down some background information. Should a family member be included? Or should the apartment rather be rented out externally? Can the granny flat be upstairs or must stairs be avoided? Why 80 sqm space requirement? Depending on that, you might consider a shared utility room and co to save space.

the granny flat is to be rented to my parents-in-law. so the building services room could already be one room. but definitely not a utility room. there should be 2 entrances. the granny flat should be downstairs. 80 sqm space requirement because the parents-in-law plan it that way
living/dining/kitchen approx. 35 sqm
bedroom approx. 15 sqm
study approx. 12 sqm
hallway depending on the layout, so that all rooms can be reached :)
utility room approx. 6 sqm
bathroom approx. 6 sqm

A site plan with the dimensions of the property and a north arrow would also be useful. It makes a difference whether the property is long and narrow, more square, and then where the access points are, whether it might be a hillside property, etc.

so I have definitely understood the basic idea of a granny flat.. my question was rather that I find it hard to imagine a house where a granny flat has 80 sqm ground floor and the main house has about 70 sqm ground floor and 90 sqm upstairs. Which roof shape would be suitable for this. It should definitely not look like a semi-detached house. The granny flat should be inconspicuous.
