If it's just about the noise: A water cooling system doesn't cost 500 EUR and serves the same purpose with greater stability.

You are in the wrong forum for that (or rather it has gotten much better by now). This forum is still mainly about house construction itself, financing, floor plans, etc. Things like having a network in every room are regularly rejected by many. I would wish that more technical topics were discussed here, but let’s be honest: in 3/4 of building projects, what the architect/general contractor provides in terms of electrical/network and other home technology in their standard package is installed. As I said, you’ve received a few suggestions. Make something out of them.

The reason is probably that the use case of the OP concerns or interests about 99.99999% of homeowners not at all. What he plans is very special (and in my opinion totally pointless, even if a hobby). But I know, not everything has to make sense...

??? Everything works???
Just as an example: We have a very tech-savvy colleague here who has installed a flight simulator (MS Flight Simulator) in his basement with several FHD projectors and some high-performance PCs, the total cost is currently about 35-40K (but it will increase over time).

Are you willing to spend that much or more? If yes, okay. I can gladly (just a tiny bit) advise you online on it. If not, the topic is already over here (it actually could have been closed right after the original post).

The hardware always follows the demand. That means you describe your needs in detail! (For example, I ask for the exact software including the version!) Then a tailor-made hardware and software solution will be created.
Customers who come with their wishes like you do get kicked out immediately! That is actually a waste of time for those running this.

I would go for liquid nitrogen ... if you're going to do it, go all the way ... :)

Otherwise, the waste heat from the server room could possibly be used to heat the house (?)!

We (the company) build such things. These are partly "normal" terminal server solutions for office work. But for high graphics performance (CAD) over TS, MS has unfortunately constantly changed the framework conditions over the past years. If you take a solution that is currently good, it might no longer work well after the next server update. Just the graphics accelerator for the terminal server costs from 2K upwards.

The TS needs a bit more for operation. Our standard configuration: One "hardware" with 2x 8-16 core CPU (we like to use HPE DL380 Gen10), with 2-3 VMs on it. On the hardware, the hypervisor is either MS Hyper-V or VMWare. Then on it VMs: 1x DC, 1x TS, often also separate SQL and/or file server.

Depending on performance, that costs between 15-25K including installation (I looked at the last orders). This is also well scalable, so a few more users is no problem. But whether you only need it for 3 users, the effort is there once.
