You forget that you pay 1000 € warm rent - you also have additional costs with a house, and not few at that (insurance, property tax, garbage, water, electricity, gas...). Furthermore, no one is helped if you stretch your financing to the limit and the next class trip leads to a family crisis. I wouldn't advise you to spend over 1000 €. Why does it have to be a prefab house, how big should it be? Do you already have a plot of land? Still a lot unclear.

Hello, You are very monosyllabic, and the information is coming in slowly. Do you already have a plot of land? Do you know the costs of building? Do you know that a prefabricated house in timber frame construction in the single-family house sector is somewhat more expensive than a solid construction? I ask because I allow the conclusion that you haven't thought about anything further at all and are just asking casually. Regards Yvonne

So, no property available. I am asking because I do not know how expensive such a prefab house is. Or rather, when I see that a solid house costs 115,000 euros. What that means.

So for €115K you won’t get a solid house – at least not one I would move into. For €200K you can’t get a newly built house including land in the Braunschweig area.

Surely both solid and prefabricated houses (if both houses are actually finished with outdoor facilities, special requests, and floors, etc.) will be more expensive. As a family, you also need space; with your EUR 200K (including land, additional construction costs, special requests, etc.) you won’t really get very far. Have a look at other threads.

So that means for me. Working 8 - 10 hours every day. Paying 1000 euros rent. For nothing. Great prospects.

Then I wonder why companies write down e.g. 130,000 euros. + 30,000 land + 40,000 ancillary construction costs makes 200,000 euros.
