Wrong. You get the right to use the living space you rent and all repairs necessary for its use. Heating broken and replacement needed: the landlord pays.



Optimize income and/or equity, then the prospects might be better. If that is not possible, then file it under "tough luck" and prepare for the possible situation and make the best of it. You don't need homeownership to be happy.

The question is probably not meant seriously. If it is: With that income, a home of your own (assuming zero equity) is completely unrealistic. Your name is quite fitting in this case: "Dreamer"

well, how is an outsider supposed to be able to judge that at all with these details? How big is the house supposed to be? Do you have a plot of land, if not, what does that cost in your area? How are you managing your expenses now? I would make an appointment with my bank advisor, he can surely help you better with that,.....

Can you get a simple prefabricated or solid house up to 220,000 euros. 4 rooms, 120 sqm. Standard, no special requests.

We have 2,600 euros monthly. 1,000 euros rent. 1,000 euros expenses, living costs etc. Saving 500 - 600.

Land costs up to 50,000 euros.

And you can save yourselves the stupid answers.

I come from near Braunschweig and I would say that you could build a house of that size for about 180,000. That would be feasible. But with 40,000 Euros you will never cover the additional costs and the land.

The other problem is that in Braunschweig and the surrounding area there are hardly any plots of land, and these usually cost at least 100 to 150€ per sqm now.
And then there are the additional costs that arise. That adds up to another 25,000 to 40,000 €.
And then you still have no outdoor facilities, no carport or garage, and nothing paved yet.

Used could work more easily if you drive a bit further out. But in that price range there is usually a lot to be done.
