Regarding the electrical system. In my opinion, the Berker S1 switch series is well suited and really affordable. LAN is rather unnecessary. A decent WLAN with FritzBox is definitely enough to have reception everywhere in a single-family house. Plan for the outdoor cable and the SAT system, unless you also want to watch TV via DSL. That wouldn’t be for me. DSL malfunction, TV dead, not good. Dimmer is a matter of opinion; we don’t need any. Instead, we use light switches to turn on the towel radiator or the exhaust fan in the bathroom manually. If you cleverly install and plan some ceiling spotlights in the house, you save lamps and outdoor lights later. These spotlights are cheap, between 20 and 30 each installed, and they produce nice light with their LEDs. There should be an outdoor socket on the terrace; it’s useful for all kinds of things. All this is not luxury, but necessary. By the way, our electrical installations cost around just under six [gross]. But smaller house! Karsten
