A little tip, if you can't do it, the screed will more likely resemble a lunar landscape afterwards (tried once and then called in the professional).

I don't want to grind the screed, only sand the leveling compound. I am a trained craftsman, but have been working in a different field for 20 years, now only renovating churches and castles, city walls, etc. That's why I'm not exactly a layperson.
