I don’t have anything yet. I’m still researching ;-)
But the joints, at least with laminate, are real.

I would suggest that you simply go to the next hardware store and take a look at the floors. Especially Modular One is usually available everywhere. We installed it in most of the ground floor (almost 170m2) 3.5 years ago and are still happy. It has texture and almost everyone who comes by bends down and asks if it's real wood. It doesn't look like plastic at all: (please excuse the mess, we have 3 small kids + dog).

then the joint issue is gone for us.

I think dust and dog hair would likely accumulate in the joints (or can someone who already has this confirm otherwise?)

We want a floor that is low-maintenance and easy to clean, either by wiping damp occasionally and vacuuming.

looks good!

I think the topic is quickly settled with a vacuum/mopping robot. I just like it rustic and not boring honey-colored oak.

Thanks! Anyone can vacuum the grout with a vacuum cleaner (robot), I wouldn’t worry about that :D Our dog always loses tufts or individual hairs, which then roll together on the floor (especially in corners) and can then be vacuumed or picked up. But nothing sticks in the grout.

If you want an easy-care floor that is easy to clean and very forgiving, rigid vinyl / design floors or regular tiles are your choice.

We have tiles in the basement, on the ground floor, and in the bathroom.

We only need the floor for the entire upper floor and attic.

Yes, the floor should be easy to clean.

I don’t know about grout; none of our acquaintances have had it, most have laminate or some kind of vinyl without grout.

Currently, we are wondering whether design flooring without PVC and plasticizers or high-quality laminate is the better choice for us.

You wouldn’t recommend plain rigid vinyl with PVC or plasticizers, right? Especially if we have a dog or kids someday.
