Would you have a picture of what you mean roughly with wooden studs and a gallery? I haven’t been able to find anything under these keywords so far and can’t quite imagine it. The project is designed for a max. of 4 people, although the family planning is just starting. I’ll be happy to post something here as soon as it becomes a bit more concrete and the ideas are put into something feasible.

Thanks for the tip. I am quite tall at almost 2m. We currently have a ceiling height of 2.35m in the apartment and I actually find that completely satisfactory for bedrooms. At least under these conditions, I do not find it disturbing.

Well, I’m talking about modern residential construction – there are rarely any keywords for that.

So .. now "only" 230 cm, that is 2x20 cm less ... so 570-40 = 530 plus base plate and roof.
This is tinkering around and one must also consider that you can no longer choose cabinets with a standard height of 240 cm.

But Kerstin...

That may seem bad to you, but you can live without a 2.40 m height. We also only have 2.35 m in the bedroom... so what? And only sloped ceilings in the dressing room... so what? Such things are not serious. You can also create storage space elsewhere, for example per running meter, rather than upwards. And there is also life without Pax. That may only bring half as much fun, but then you get a pug, and everything is wonderful again. It may not be ideal, but who wants to live perfectionism? You just have to know it and find other outlets.

Let's wait and see what an architect makes of it first.

I researched again. The development plan became legally binding almost exactly one year ago. Apparently, they just forgot to put it on the Geoportal as well. The documents found are unfortunately not up-to-date, but I don’t believe any decisive changes have been made.

IMHO not a good idea - complicated and against the planners’ intention. I think an architect will talk you out of this idea.
Is there no plot left in WA 5?
